Day by Day

• Day 1

  Derive from Delhi to Lakhudiar

  Altitude: 1500 m, Driving Time: Delhi to Lakhudiar Approx. 10 hrs and 20 minutes to Deora village.

  Early Morning, we pick you up from your Hotel , driven for Lakhudiar. Upon arrival, we receive & transfer to Deora village, check in hotel.

  Freshen up and enjoy a welcome non alcoholic drink. Guests are welcome to watch!  Relax, chat with the locals and listen to tales from the past.

  Over night at a friendly accommodation Deora village guest house. (Meals: Dinner)

• Day 2

  Deora Village

  Altitude: 1500 m to 1650m, walking Time: 3 - 4 hrs

   

  After breakfast start the village walk from the Deora which leads you through picturesque villages along terraced fields, along a winding stream and Chir (pine) forests. This gentle walk through valleys then takes you up to the Maine Kali Tepmle.

  Enjoy your picnic lunch at the beautiful temple side area. Come back to the guest house by the evening.

• Day 3

  Deora Village---- Paliu village

  Altitude: 1500 m to 1650m, walking Time: 5 – 6 hrs , approx. 12 to 13 kms.

   

  Today walking along the old village trails you pass through several villages which gives you a fantastic impression of Kumaoni local life, where old traditions and culture are still part of their daily routine lives. 

  The walk takes you past ancient riverstream run flour mills where you can stop to see how they work. You pass villages, through terraced fields then along traditional irrigation channels and finally climb up to Paliu village. 

  Visit Cerala village,Chani village & Alai village then walk up to Paliu village house

  Overnight at a friendly accommodation Paliu village guest house. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

• Day 4

  Paliu village --- Anandamayi Ashram

   

  After a leisurely breakfast start walking towards Anandamayi Ashram from Paliu village which leads you through beautiful mountain views and rhododendron flowers forest everywhere. You will be served a picnic lunch on the way at any beautiful location of Kumaon nature. This ashram is one of the oldest examples of culture and education.

  Walk back to the village guest house and reach by evening. Lavish Kumauni dinner will be served to you

• Day 5

  Paliu village --- Sokiathal village

  Altitude: 2250 m to 1850 m, walking Time: 3 – 4 hrs, Approx. 5 kms.

   

  Walking through chir pine forest, along terraced fields, and past a few scattered small villages the path now climbs steadily up to Sokaithal, amidst forests of oak and rhododendron. 

  The Himalayan and panaromic valley views from the top of this ridge are magnificent.  The grand finale is the setting sun covering the Himalayan peaks with fire.  Visit Jageshwar valley. 

  Visit village, Dholchhina village, Patherkhani & Jawalabanj village then reach sokiathal guest house.

• Day 6

  Sokiathal village ----Delhi

  After breakfast transfer to Delhi (Approx. 10 hrs drive). Upon arrival in Delhi, transfer to your hotel, taking back memories of a wonderful Trekking trip
