We are a bit tardy in sending our praise of the staff of Indjapink. We spent two weeks in November on a tour organized by them and we had a fabulous experience. From when we emerged from customs in Delhi until we were deposited at the check-in counter to return, there was someone to manage every whim and desire of our trip. And Robin called to check on us every other day, sorting out any issues that may have risen.

We had concerns about how well we would be cared for on our trip, but we liked the concept of a small tour group (i.e., two of us) and we were intrigued by the "gay" focus of the company. Our fears were unfounded. There was always a local tour guide and a skilled driver to meet us and take us to see the sights. We had one driver for eight days and he is the best driver in India. Our hotels were top-drawer: on walking in to the Leela Palace in Udaipur we were showered with rose petals.

The flights were excellent. The driver, as mentioned, got us around safe and sound, which would be a challenge for a Western driver, and the vehicle was comfortable. The overnight train ride was first-class, in comparison to the rest of the train, although not in comparison to, say, British Air. There are some nice trains in India; the Poovra Express is not one of them. We would investigate trains more fully on the next trip. This is not the fault of Indjapink. We had some interesting conversations with local residents, although the "gay" focus would be better termed "lite," but this was not really a concern for us. We were the guests of Robin at a lovely farewell party on the night before we departed where we met more locals and expats with insight that we wouldn't have gotten from a mainstream tour.

We highly recommend the services of Indjapink and when we return to this fascinating country we will be certain to book our tour with them.
