Morning at leisure. Later in the afternoon, visit the Gateway of India, built to commemorate the visit of George V in 1911, one of the most prized possessions of the country, the Gateway of India is situated on the waterfront in South Mumbai. It has mainly been constructed as per the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture.
One can also find the features of the Muslim architectural styles that were very much popular in Gujarat in the 16th century. Also, visit Prince of Wales Museum. Proceed along Marine Drive .What draws attention to this avenue is the striking esplanade next to the road, where scores of people come to breathe fresh air and view sunset. At nights, Marine Drive looks stunning illuminated, with lights and if seen from some elevated point beside the road, it appears like a necklace with street lights resembling a string of pearls.
Attributable to its extravagant loveliness, it is also known as Queen's Necklace. Later, visit Chowpatty Beach, famous for its local fast-food.

After breakfast, transferred to the airport to catch your flight to Kochi. Upon arrival, you will be met & transferred by private vehicle to the hotel. Cochin is an evocative harbor town stretched across islands and peninsulas on the Malabar Coast. Explore the diverse sights of Fort Kochi in a guided walking tour . Walk through the sinewy streets of the town towards the beach, you will simply wonder about the eternal sonance of the ebullient sea, always within your earshot but perpetually imperceptible to the eye. You can see stamps of silver sands, carelessly scattered on the grounds, ratifying a sea nearby, but where?
And now when you are so close to the parapet, a visit to the first European fort built on Indian soil is a fine idea, isn't it? Perched regally on petrified time, Fort Kochi is not just a quaint township or a traveler’s delight. It is a perfect poetry of folklore handed down the ages, a melting pot of culture that has emerged from three invasions, and a lifestyle that prides itself on its natural ardour to savour life, much the same way you would do about your holiday vacation in Kerala. The Portuguese made it in 1530, the Dutch played with it from 1663 and ultimately the British East India Company wrested the grand creation away in 1795. Housing the first European township and anchored on one of the finest natural harbours of the State, Fort Kochi over the chapters of history played the fascinating roles of a major military base, shipbuilding centre, a cultural hub, and a centre for Christianity, all in one. Situated on the Vembanad Lake, in this small water world you'll come across plenty of traditional country crafts, boats and canoes which will take you into the heart of the scenic lake.

Alleppey - Periyar |

Early morning you will be transferred to the Alleppey Boat-jetty from where you will depart for a scenic drive to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in the Cardamom Hills on the border of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Periyar is one of the largest sanctuaries in India and is centered on a 34km lake excavated by the British in 1895. Here the high ranges of the Western Ghats are clothed in dense evergreen, moist deciduous forests and savannah grasslands. Below this thick green canopy roam herds of elephants, sambars, tigers, gaurs, lion tailed macaques and Nilgiri langurs.
In the evening proceed to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary for a Jeep Safari with a private / friendly guide for an enchanting wildlife viewing and bird watching in the park .

Early morning, visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, situated on the banks of the Periyar Lake. Enjoy an elephant safari which is the best and safest way to explore the remotest and densest areas of the forests. If you are more keen in combing denser areas of the forests and search for some fierce creatures. Riding an elephant takes you back to the royal era, when only the Kings use to ride on these majestic creatures.
Later, drive to Kumily on the outskirts of Periyar to visit a spice farm. Kumily is known for its gorgeous, sprawling spice and tea plantations. Get to see first-hand, how the spices and teas are produced, from the plantation to the factory. Walk through an avenue of cardamom plants – these are tree like in height and the small pods grow from the bottom of the plant is almost complete shade.Cinnamon trees at the top of the plantation alongside rubber plants and coffee trees. Later, return to the hotel.

Periyar - Madurai |

After breakfast, drive to Madurai which has been a centre of learning and pilgrimage for many centuries. Madurai has a rich cultural heritage passed on from the great Tamil era more than 2500 years old. Madurai was an important cultural and commercial centre even as early as 550 AD. It was the capital city for the great Pandya kings.

Madurai - Tiruchirappalli |

After breakfast, drive to Tiruchpally. Upon arrival, transferred to the hotel. The historical city of Tiruchirappalli, popularly known as Trichi, is situated on the banks of the Kaveri River (also Cauvery) in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. This Chola Dynasty citadel, known for its profound wisdom of the Sangam Age, still carries the age-old aura about it. The present-day city, with a blend of glorious past and acclaimed divinity through the famous Dravidian temples.
Later , visit the spectacular Rock Fort Temple, the landmark of the city which is on the shores of the River Kaveri. It is perched on a massive rocky outcrop at an altitude of 83 m above sea level. Also visit the Thayumanaswamy Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva (the destroyer in the Hindu trinity. It has a 100-pillar hall and a Vimana covered with gold. On the southern face of the rock are several beautifully carved rock-cut cave temples of the Pallava period.
Visit , Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple (Srirangam), which is among the most revered shrines dedicated to Lord Vishnu in South India, and one of the largest temple complexes in India. Shrouded in a haze of coconut palms away to the north, the temple is built on an island in the middle of the Kaveri.

Tiruchirappalli - Thanjavaur - Tiruchirappalli |

After breakfast , drive to Thanjavaur. Thanjavaur lies to the east of Trichy and has the reputation as the "Rice Bowl of Tamil Nadu". Thanjavaur was the royal city of the Cholas, Nayaks and the Mahrattas. Thanjavaur was at height of its glory during Rajaraja Cholan. The Big Temple and the other famous temples in the district are known all over the world. Thanjavaur was the cultural capital of the country in 1790. It is known as the Granary of the South India lying in the deltaic region of the famous river Cauvery and criss-crossed by lengthy network of irrigation canals.
Visit the famous Brahadeshwar temple. The temple was constructed more than thousand years ago by the King Rajarajan, is an architect's marvel. It is a flourishing centre for bronze sculpture and painting.
Later return back to Tiruchirappalli.

After breakfast, transferred to the airport to board your flight to Chennai. Chennai in South India, is a vibrant city ever growing, expanding and changing every year. On your Chennai tour you will discover that Chennai's culture is distinct from that of north India. Explore the music, dance and other art forms of the South, on tours to Chennai. Chennai is a city where the traditional and the modern blend in life everywhere.
In the evening, enjoy a Bharatnatyam performance. Bharatnatyam is one of the oldest dance forms of India. It was nurtured in the temples and courts of southern India since ancient times. Later it was codified and documented as a performing art in the 19th century by four brothers known as the Tanjore Quartet whose musical compositions for dance form the bulk of the Bharata Natyam repertoire even today. The art was handed down as a living tradition from generation to generation under the Devadasi system under which women were dedicated to temples to serve the deity as dancers and musicians forming part of the elaborate rituals. These highly talented artists and the male gurus (nattuvanars) were the sole repository of the art until the early 20th century when a renewal of interest in India's cultural heritage prompted the educated elite to discover its beauty.

After breakfast, proceed for a city tour of Chennai. Visit the High Court. This imposing Indo-Saracenic style building, built in 1892, has beautiful domes, a grand central cupola and many stained glass windows. The building houses the High Court, the Small Cause's Court and the City Civil Court. Also, visit Fort St. George. Built in 1654 and remodeled in 1749, Fort St. George is the first bastion of British power in India.
Later, proceed to Marina Beach. The beach runs for 13km and it is the second longest beach in the world. The beach drive runs between magnificent stately buildings like the Chetpauk Palace, University of Madras, Icehouse etc. on one side and a very wide sandy beach on the other. The aquarium is situated at the beginning of the beach.

After breakfast, visit the seaside town of Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram), where Pallavan stonecutters produced some of the finest carving in India.
Explore cave temple halls hewn from stone, stone rathas carved from single boulders, a magnificent stone bas-relief of nearly life-size elephants and humans ("Arjuna's Penance" or "Descent of the Ganges") and the romantic Shore Temple, an eighth-century carved brick shrine fronting the beach.
